Westboro Baptist Church (WBC), if anything, is one of the prime reasons why this blog was even set up at all. Really. Read about the sickening deeds this group have done (and to think they have repeatedly used and abused the name of Churches and God) and you'll be equally, if not more, pissed as i am.
The gorgeous Elizabeth Taylor is but one of the victims of death but due to her humanitarian deeds with regards to fight against AIDS and her having gay friends, she is being hated against, even after death. Annoying as it may seem, WBC has also picketed and created scenes at funerals of many different people, including funerals of soldiers who died at war.
Indeed, sit your ass at home, creating banners, spreading hate, wondering who's next to attack while your country is at war and you're not even doing shit to defend or show some respect at least. Where's that decency in you, WBC?
Pick on someone who can defend themselves, and not pick on the dead, or their family, when they have so much grieve to deal with.
In fact, i can't wait for one of the Phelps in WBC to pass away, just so i get to gloat a little, feel good about life and actually believe in the existence of a higher power. Yes, for if there's any higher power, at all, they have certainly not do anything to react to this absurd acts of the church, who in fact, is using the name of God. Never have i felt so much anger and want for someone to just die. I wouldn't even wish death upon an ant but on them, i fucking hope it happens.
AIDS is a real problem and just because ET actively raise funds for the research and has gay friends, she deserve to go to hell? Jeez. Your hell sure is packed as a Japanese train on peak hours.
And infuriatingly, the law supports them. Not in a manner that openly says, "they're right". But in a manner whereby, the law thinks it's perfectly fine for them to hold up rude banners and picket at others' funerals. What the hell?
I understand that the USA has their First Amendment and all that bull but really, Freedom of Speech does not equate to a license and a platform for abuse and much less, verbal assault. It's one thing to speak your mind but another to speak without the use of your mind. Clearly, WBC isn't using much of their brain space and so, they should really ought to be taken action against.
The issue i hate about law is that sometimes, one rule doesn't apply to all. That's why we have judges and we have juries and we have trials. We listen to the case and we act accordingly. And in this case, accordingly would have meant that WBC is pushing it, going overboard and really stepping on toes here. But nooooo, the law states freedom of speech and thereby, they are allowed so. Speech is speech until it's just words carrying hate. That's not speech, that's not making sense, they're just being upset, cranky and really childish.
This church is really pissing people off. People including me as well. Some day. Just some day. Karma will hit and you know what they say about Karma... Payback's gonna be a bitch.
