Uganda - Worst place to be gay

Has anyone of you watched the 57 minutes long documentary done up by BBC and Scott Mills - World's worst place to be gay?

Download and Watch it here:

Personally, i have to say, Scott Mills is very cute. But that's not the point of the show. The point was to see how people in Uganda actually believed that homosexuality is wrong, that it's a sin. And while one may argue that there are such people everywhere, the people in Uganda actually have people from the government (where i thought you gotta be somewhat smart to be in the position) to people from the streets thinking that homosexuals should be killed. And what's worse, some of them act that way.

It's a cold and cruel world there. Families kick homosexual children out, people stone them, rape them and nobody would give a fuck. Homosexuals are being abused, hunted down and beaten up. Gay cures are it's supreme idiocy there, with chicken whacking to being spitted at and laughed upon.

It's fucking depressing a show to watch. And heart-wrenching to see how there are such people that actually exist in the world. People who hate for purely no reason of hating, but because of anti-gay propagandas. To have government itself passing laws that makes no sense and hath no humanity.

Even though Singapore might makes sex illegal for me, even though my parents aren't approving of the whole gay issue, it's made me realize that me being alive and not worried about dying or getting beaten up tomorrow, is a blessing by itself.

It makes you wonder, how pathetic life is. These people thinks that some people are just practically born just to get killed. If God actually intended for that to happen, he's not worthy of that title. I'm just saying. If he did intended to create gay people just to have them killed by disapproving bigots, then he's really pretty lame.

God, if you do exist, please, bless the ones worth blessing, the ones living and not knowing about their fate the next day, just cause they come out the way you intended for them to be.

Sign the petition against Exodus being a charity in Canada, it's not.

Exodus International, is an organization that believes in the cure of homosexuality. In fact, they believed in it so badly, that they actually created "an app for that" which sparked outrage and disgust (well, disgust mostly myself), causing a barrage of signatures on petitions calling for Apple to remove the application from its list of offerings. Thank you for removing the "Gay Cure" app, Apple, for otherwise, i really do not see the point of having an iPhone, after tweeting that i'd throw away my Apple products if it turns out otherwise.

Yes yes, what can one individual like me, do? But hey, when there's a gazillion of me out there, or 140,000 odd, and when there's competitive phones coming up in other markets and brands, it does have an impact.

Nonetheless, even though the war is won on getting Apple to remove the app, it's not over. This bullshit with Exodus is just at it's beginning.

Gay cure, seriously. A cent for each number of times i've heard this phrase, i'm a fucking Bill Gates. There's no such thing as gay cure. None. I'm gay, i tried curing myself. I tried dating girls and only end up hurting the girls i dated. I tried watching straight porn and find myself noticing dicks. I tried watching lesbian porn (and it's homosexual porn for god's sake) and end up with a softie. I tried staying clean, away from porn but at night, the dreams i have are of guys. What is there that i have not tried? If my dream is telling me i'm gay, i think it's really just in me, isn't it? Of course, i can totally list on the series of things i've tried but it didn't work. All of it failed.

And while Exodus claims that they're not trying to spread hate on gays, that they are trying to sniffle out those gays strugglers (who struggle basically because people like you question their sexuality and shame them) and tell them that they have a choice in being gay.

But you don't.

That's the fucking reality of life. You're gay. Get over it.
It's like, you're straight. No one's trying to "gay-ify" you so why bother trying to get us on your side of the team. I mean, honestly, you'll have higher competition for the ladies with us gays being straights, no? We're stereotypically sensitive, sweet, cute, fashionable... and the list goes on.

And when you tell others that they have a choice in being gay, and they try your cures, if it's not gonna work, they're gonna look for more "cures" and more and more until a point whereby they give up and give up in life altogether. It's true. That feeling of failing, that feeling of trying so hard and yet not being able to reach that goal. And that upon not reaching your goal, you're going to get despised and still hated against, though you've tried so hard, one can just really give up living.

And these cures, by itself, is a fucking torture process. It's probably a cover up, a legal way to inflict torture, mentally and physically, on gay fellas.

From my knowledge of the allegedly gay cures, NARTH (one of the biggest gay cure organizations) practices it. And from what i read here: http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/health-and-families/features/the-exgay-files-the-bizarre-world-of-gaytostraight-conversion-1884947.html, it's fucking bullshit. This is a website that recounts a journalist that goes undercover and experience the gay cure for himself... which didn't work.

Other than insulting your family, such as claiming that you're probably sexually abused as a child, they blamed the fact that your dad might be distant and your mum too close to you, and for that, as part of the cure, they will advise your dad to hug you and your mum to distant herself. How intelligent does that sound?!

You can read up more but let's sum up to one simple line. Gay cures don't cure, but inflict psychological damage on an otherwise perfectly fine being. It simply convinces the person that there is something psychologically wrong with him/her, thereby, encouraging him/her to further be displease and hate themselves more. And don't we all know what self-hatred does to oneself?

Look at the number of young adults killing themselves. Or teenagers committing suicide. Look at the recent numbers of gay teenagers killing themselves. And ask yourself why?

If it's their family displeasure, it's only cause you made it this way.
If it's their self-hatred, it's only cause you made it this way.

SO EXODUS, being an organization that claims to provide gay cures, should really be removed from being a charity. YES. This is fucking incredulously ridiculous. This organization, is actually listed in Canada as a charity, thereby, reaping tax benefits for trying to cure gays. And with a hint of respect to the company, let's just say that even if the question of whether or not it works is still out there (it fucking doesn't), HOMOSEXUALITY IS NOT EVEN A DISORDER/MENTAL ILLNESS.

IT. DOESN'T. FUCKING. NEED. TO. BE. CURED.

Even respectable medical and psychological organizations have rejected and not support the doings of Exodus, claiming and warning it will bring about significant psychological harm, Exodus is still receiving a charitable status in Canada.

Do your part.
Sign the petition. Please.

Visit the site above, sign the petition.

Thank you.

15 year old raped by Church Deacon

In other news, an allegedly raped 15 year old victim forced to confess to church. While this has nothing to do with homosexuality, it has everything to do with the religion. How classy, "pastor". Seriously, read about the whole story here: http://abcnews.go.com/Health/MindMoodNews/alleged-rape-victim-accuses-trinity-baptist-church-deacon/story?id=10806348&page=1

And if you're too lazy to flip through 3 pages worth, let me get out the juicy bits for you.

- 15 year old Tina Anderson was raped by a man twice her age
- The man was someone her family and her trusted - Church Deacon (IDEK what is that...)
- She got raped twice. Once in her home when her family were out and he came by. Second was when he was teaching her how to drive and in the backseat of the car.
- She gotten pregnant.
- They claimed she was lucky not to have been stoned to death.
- Wife of rapist asked if she enjoyed it.
- Rapist offered to "punch" her stomach to trigger a miscarriage.
- Rapist persuaded family to send her off to another Baptist family.
- She decided to press charges after 20 odd years later when police contacted her.

And this is sick because with all that accusations about homosexuals being pedophiles, being the ones that rape and the ones that are "disgusting", these people spreading the nonsense are actually covering up for people that are REALLY pedophiles, doing rape and are truly disgusting.

It's like eating the bacon and blaming the dog for it. You do the dirty deeds and you're pointing your fingers away at others hoping no one notice the shit going on in your own backyard. Sickening Sickening.

If anything, i would say the whole religion is a way of using God's name to carry out deeds of what the pastor wants. The pastor isn't God. And as little as i understand about the religion, i believe that the pastor is as human as any other person on the street. The sins and greed and lust runs through him and thereby, why should he be given any authority or power over others? Just because he studied the bible well or should a pastor be given the position because he has the capability of ensuring safety of church members instead of harming them? If anything, the scandal only forms up a bigger picture of covering up and trying to find a legitimate reason for molestations, child abuse and many other odd cases of crime.

Wake up world. I'm not criticizing your religions but i'm saying how these people are ruining it. Choose to believe in the religion but don't foolishly believe in EVERYTHING these people are saying. Because blind faith isn't faith but stupidity.

Westboro Baptist Church pickets ET funeral

Via Tumblr

Westboro Baptist Church (WBC), if anything, is one of the prime reasons why this blog was even set up at all. Really. Read about the sickening deeds this group have done (and to think they have repeatedly used and abused the name of Churches and God) and you'll be equally, if not more, pissed as i am.

The gorgeous Elizabeth Taylor is but one of the victims of death but due to her humanitarian deeds with regards to fight against AIDS and her having gay friends, she is being hated against, even after death. Annoying as it may seem, WBC has also picketed and created scenes at funerals of many different people, including funerals of soldiers who died at war.

Indeed, sit your ass at home, creating banners, spreading hate, wondering who's next to attack while your country is at war and you're not even doing shit to defend or show some respect at least. Where's that decency in you, WBC?

Pick on someone who can defend themselves, and not pick on the dead, or their family, when they have so much grieve to deal with.

In fact, i can't wait for one of the Phelps in WBC to pass away, just so i get to gloat a little, feel good about life and actually believe in the existence of a higher power. Yes, for if there's any higher power, at all, they have certainly not do anything to react to this absurd acts of the church, who in fact, is using the name of God. Never have i felt so much anger and want for someone to just die. I wouldn't even wish death upon an ant but on them, i fucking hope it happens.

AIDS is a real problem and just because ET actively raise funds for the research and has gay friends, she deserve to go to hell? Jeez. Your hell sure is packed as a Japanese train on peak hours.

And infuriatingly, the law supports them. Not in a manner that openly says, "they're right". But in a manner whereby, the law thinks it's perfectly fine for them to hold up rude banners and picket at others' funerals. What the hell?

I understand that the USA has their First Amendment and all that bull but really, Freedom of Speech does not equate to a license and a platform for abuse and much less, verbal assault. It's one thing to speak your mind but another to speak without the use of your mind. Clearly, WBC isn't using much of their brain space and so, they should really ought to be taken action against.

The issue i hate about law is that sometimes, one rule doesn't apply to all. That's why we have judges and we have juries and we have trials. We listen to the case and we act accordingly. And in this case, accordingly would have meant that WBC is pushing it, going overboard and really stepping on toes here. But nooooo, the law states freedom of speech and thereby, they are allowed so. Speech is speech until it's just words carrying hate. That's not speech, that's not making sense, they're just being upset, cranky and really childish.

This church is really pissing people off. People including me as well. Some day. Just some day. Karma will hit and you know what they say about Karma... Payback's gonna be a bitch.

Vatican Slams Gay Rights

Via @TheAdvocateMag on Twitter

Seriously, it just doesn't get through his thick skull does it?

"People are being attacked for taking positions that do not support sexual behavior between people of the same sex."

Right. And people are being attacked, physically and mentally and discriminated against, just for being who they truly are and for loving someone of the same gender. These people are homosexuals. They're not asking for YOUR support. All they're asking, is to have equal rights and to lead a normal life liken to any other person on the street, which is perfectly reasonable considering that they are human beings and they're no different any other manner from anyone else other than being gay. From our point of view, you're different cause you're straight. But we don't simply treat you differently. Gays are not asking you for your "support" in their lifestyle. We're not asking you to join us either (though you can if you WANT to). We're just saying, we exist, treat us as equals. That's as simple as it gets, really.

I don't need you to paint the government building rainbow, or need you to have a celebratory day for us just so we are recognized for that one day out of the 365.25 days we have. The PRIDE festivals and gay-days are practically just to show that we're here, we're queer and we're not any different other than being so much awesome-r.

Either way. Back to the article.

This dude in the picture above claimed that when they express their moral beliefs, they get attacked, supposedly. Well, do unto others what you want others to do unto you (Sorry Four Seasons). But it's true. If you're not out there, criticizing and attacking others, why would there be even a backlash now? Nobody will attack you for your discriminatory acts IF there's none to attack in the first place.

How blind of you to not even see that it really does take two hands to clap. And don't say we're the ones that started the issue cause gay isn't an issue. Your displeasure in our presence is the issue. And that, stems from you to begin with.

Annoyance.

(However, to put it out here, i don't hate the religion. I have friends, awesome ones, who are in this particular religion and still very supportive and understanding. :) Thank you guys. /hugs/)

Gay Rights

Gay Rights.

I don't understand the people going against gay rights. Or those against gays altogether in the first place. Why do you hate us so much? Or why do you go against our rights so badly? For some people might argue that while they don't hate gays, they just don't support it and thereby, going against it. It's true, if you think about it. When it comes down to voting for gay rights, by not supporting something so reasonable, you're actually voting against it. Unless you tell me you decided not to vote at all. But then again, through not voting for the rights, you're playing a part in taking away the rights, albeit a small minor role in it.

Religion wise, i guess i shall be open-minded and say, it's agreeable, yes, you can choose not to support it. But to actually petition against, form groups going against, finding means and ways to denounce the existence of gays, i think that's unreasonable. For, if there's anything left to doubt, the physical presence of homosexuals should not be first in queue but instead, the spiritual or the beliefs you guys have in religions. It's intangible and definitely not as real as it can gets when it comes down to having actual gays in front of you. Yes, you do see God in many different ways, many different signs and believe in your religions respectively in your own manner. But the existence of homosexuality is not something for you to believe in. You don't have to believe in homosexuals for them to exist. You don't have to "see a sign" or "receive a message" from any gays to know that they do exist. Certainly enough, you don't have to rely on a book, or any holy publications, for you to know that gay people do exist. For starters, the bible itself, despite having a section on judging that homosexuals are wrong, already proved that it IS a fact that gay people are real, that we do exist and yes, we are living, breathing souls. And the fact that we are living breathing human beings, should give you the idea that we deserve what any other living breathing human beings get.

Let's paint this offensive picture, since we're already on the topic of religions, about how most laws and discriminatory practices works. Since most laws now are made with due respect to certain cultures and religions, if homosexuality was part of A religion, doesn't that mean that the law of the country will have to be made with respect to it as well, considering that discriminating against a religion (rather than homosexuality) is a bigger "sin"?

Religion is a cultural system that creates powerful and long-lasting meaning, by establishing symbols that relate humanity to beliefs and values.[1] Many religions have narratives, symbols, traditions and sacred histories that are intended to give meaning to life or to explain the origin of life or the universe. They tend to derive morality, ethics, religious laws or a preferred lifestyle from their ideas about the cosmos and human nature.

Religion being a system that is able to be derived from a preferred lifestyle, means that homosexuality can be a religion. And in a sense, since religions is derived from beliefs of beings, that means that it can easily be formed so long a group believes solely in the existence of homosexuality gathers up. And with that, since there should be no laws governing any formation of religions and belief groups (considering the idea that it is indeed what some people choose to belief in), to push the government into possibly making gay rights available, homosexuals should really form a religion. I mean, i do sincerely believe in my preference for the same sex, and i have full faith that my sexual orientation is not derived from any form of mistake and/or misguidance. So, with my belief, and the common traits of liking the same gender, i guess we can truly "gather up" and form a religion eh? Maybe Lady Gaga should be our persona of worship. Or maybe I can be so. I mean, i came up with that idea after all, no? And maybe we should write up a Gay book and allow it to be passed on to descendants and it governs how gay people should treat each other, straight people and others too. What? The words of a common person like me hath no status to that of those in other books? Why not? Aren't most written in other books done by people who claimed to have received any form of contact with what they believe in? I believe in myself, and thereby, i do believe my words carry an equal status, if not more. In fact, it should carry more weight considering what i'm writing, i truly solemnly swear, is what i truly solemnly feel about the situation. I am not relating what i wrote here from anyone. I am not using another person's name or title or power or position, to claim an issue.

The idea of homosexuality being a religion. It's ridiculous isn't it? And that's what most homosexuals feel as well. That the idea of being discriminated against, being hated against, having rights taken away from, just cause someone some time ago thinks so, ridiculous.

The point here is not to offend, though i would agree many might already be. The point here is not to denounce your religion as well, as many would have thought so. The point here, is to allow you to see that blind faith, is ridiculous, especially in situations whereby it is not called for.

Every single phrase is written in context to a certain situation at a certain time frame and should be really restricted to that. For example, it says that women should be submit in total dominance to man and look where we are now. And for more examples, refer to this website:http://www.nobeliefs.com/DarkBible/darkbible7.htm In 2011, you tell a woman that she should listen, submit and serve you and she can easily give you a kick in the nuts. You discriminate a woman in work and she can easily sue you. The point is, times have changed, and certain mindsets no longer applies. We don't stone people to death anymore. And yet, somehow, the society we live in still thinks it's perfectly alright for gay people to not have equal rights.

We are not demanding for more rights. We're not denouncing your religion. We are not killing people, hurting people or (oh my) raping people. We are not doing anything illegal, until you made sex illegal for some of us. We are not converting (*coughs*) or attempting to convert (*coughs*) anyone into being a homosexual.

What we are doing, is to just pry open your narrow minds and let you see that we are of no difference from yourself. And the only difference, is that we like the same gender.

How does that offends you?

Does killing gay people (in certain places) makes the world absolutely free of homosexuals?
Well, it certainly doesn't, sweetheart, it just fills the world with tons of closet cases and a black (or rainbow ;)) market for homosexuals.

Does allowing gay people to marry takes away the rights for straight people to marry?
No it doesn't. It wasn't a privilege for straight people to govern initially, at all. But some decided that "hey, this makes our marriage not as special anymore" and thereby, judged it as wrong, immoral and ta dah, we can't marry. How are marriages, something as beautiful and pure, as you would say, immoral?

I really just don't get it.

And bestowed upon us, are the supernatural powers of destruction... apparently.

In your pathetic attempt to "convince" and "ally" the world to bigotry, natural disasters are always blamed upon us. Are you seriously convinced and dense as such, or are you really truthfully so sly to do so? Has it not once occurred to you that Earth is over-populated (and oh ho ho who do we have that to blame on?) and that maybe it's cause of pollution and each of us playing our tiny part in killing the Earth that has to be blamed? I admit, through the typing of each word on this laptop, that i have a part to play in the consumption of energy, thereby, playing a part, somehow, in killing the Earth. But you have to admit you guys are too. And nobody's really blaming anybody for that. So why did you have to lay it all on us?

It's just so cunning, and ridiculously dense, on your part to think that a message from above would be a tornado or a tsunami. And that if God is really unhappy with us, he'll kill everyone. Why would he do that to his own supposedly creation? Why can't he just stop the whole gay thing, if it's supposedly wrong, and/or kill people the "natural disaster" way? And if he really love you that much, he wouldn't be asking you to do his dirty work of killing gays so seriously, stop hurting gay people. Punching them in the name of God is not "holy" or "right". It's downright sickening and warped, and you're tarnishing no one else's name but your religion's. Slap on your thinking cap and think about it. If you really dislike gays for a reason that's personal, please do not use any religion's name for it's not only unfair to the ones that are perfectly alright with us (thank you *hugs*) but it's unfair to the ones that are gays and believe in your religion as well.

While this blog post so far has touched upon the subject of religions, it's mostly cause most anti-gay (seriously?) groups are religions-based or use religions as a basis of their bigotry argument. And to only argue back sensibly will be to argue their points directly.

It's not to say, your religion is wrong, or your religion doesn't exist. It's to say, religions are based upon cultures and cultures are interchangeable. And that laws, which are supposedly impartial and fair to all, should be as such, and not discriminatory just because a religion thinks that way. Think logically before a law is passed. Does a gay man not get the right to marry just cause it's another guy he's marrying? Or is it cause allowing this marriage will affect your votes and public image? Or is it cause allowing this marriage will seriously cause a natural disaster? Or is it cause allowing this marriage will suddenly morphed all straight people into homosexuals? Wake up. Cause when a law is passed, it subsequently affects the culture of the place and the culture will make society conform and with the situation now, society is conformed to judge and see wrongly of homosexuals. And this is really unfair to the homosexuals for they aren't doing anything illegal (supposedly) until you made it wrong for the very presence and basis of their sexual orientation.

If being gay was a choice, it would be a stupid decision i've made for why would i choose to be gay (despite my loveeeeee for men) in this world whereby being gay is so difficult. Nobody will ever choose to get their ass kicked. Nobody will choose to get their face smashed in. Nobody will choose to have to live a life of fear of getting discriminated against. Nobody will choose to get kicked out by their families. Nobody will choose to live a life of single-hood and not being able to have a family of their own. Nobody will, well, at least i wouldn't. I'd take the easy way out, be straight, marry a woman and have a family. But i know it's impossible. For i wouldn't love the girl the way i should.

I'm lucky. I live in a country, though subjectively discriminatory, (Yes, Singapore, you can be pretty unfriendly), does not have to worry about getting bashed (yet!). But if we're not progressing in this stream of gay rights movement, we're not staying stagnant but we'll be travelling backwards downstream. We'll be going back to the times where gay bars will sooner be shut down, where homosexuals will be discriminated upon in work and schools, where the wrong idea of homosexuals will be taught and imprinted in many generations. We'll be in the situation whereby as a gay kid, i tell myself i'm wrong, my existence is wrong, i should be condemned, i should change, i try to change, i fail and thereby, i failed in life, and sooner or later, i end it. It's happening now, and we should change it before it's all too late. Before all the gorgeous designers kill themselves. Or even before they grow up to be these successful people they might be, that they might end it.

It's not just about accepting. It's about understanding.

I accept the fact that straight people are norm, i understand their attraction for the different gender. So why can't you understand mine?

I'm just like you, like any single one of you, and the only difference, is living life after realizing i'm gay, is a challenge i have to face everyday. Do something. Speak up.
